Lateral crack repair

Lateral cracks are common place in the old flood irrigation infrastructure which, is everywhere! A lateral crack is when the pipe splits from end to end. There is no repair that can take place. The pipe needs to be replaced. Flood irrigation pipe is made of concrete of which were generally built in 3’ sections. As the pipes age, air pressure + water pressure + use cause these type of fractures to become present. Where a broken joint and ring crack is isolated a lateral crack travels. It may be cracked for 10’ or 1000'. The resolution is the same, replace the pipe.
